I am John Kibler. I am an officer in the NC Democratic Party and a long time Political Activist in Union and Mecklenburg Counties.  I began my political activism years ago campaigning for democratic candidates.  Going door to door canvassing is my favorite activity.  I have done phone banking, postcard writing, texting, and other campaign related activities, but I always like to meet people face to face.

I have won the Charles L Hunley Award for service to the Union County Democratic Party and last year was awarded a Freedom Fighter Award by the Union County NAACP.

I live on a horse farm with my wife Diane and I am retired from Duke Engineering and Services where I worked as a Computer Engineer.

I was born in Charlotte, raised in North Mecklenburg County, and have lived in Union County for the last twenty years.

I love the Union County NAACP.  I consider the members of this branch to be like a family to me.  I feel very close to the people here and the great work the branch does to promote a better life for all citizens of our community.  I am currently on a path to become a permanent, life-time member of the NAACP.
